Background:  Chris honed his writing craft during his time in Washington D.C. writing and reporting for a social science research consortium.  He covered Congress and the Executive Branch, doing research, gathering facts and quotes, writing articles, and editing and producing a bi-weekly newspaper on deadline for scientists and stakeholders across the country.  Along the way he edited and produced annual reports, conference proceedings, expert testimony, and a multiple-author book.  Chris also has a Master of Science in Geography and has taught Writing and International Affairs at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
